My Vehicle Stopped on the 2/3/2020 on Flowood Drive in Flowood, Mississippi. Forgive me if I misspell your Name...But Officer Jr. Atkinson Represented The Flowood Police Department and himself well. The Officer was Very Professional and Courteous to My Family and Myself in Our Time of Need. This was our 1st time in the City of Flowood. The Officer Helped us to get in touch with the Local Businesses that could help our situation. We were taking my Daughter to meet A Spine Specialist, Dr. Lawrence Haber that Flew into Flowood to Meet Us. This Was An Appointment that Could Not Be Missed. Thanks to this Officer We Made It! Thank You So Much!! My Family Will Never Forget It! God Bless You and I know God Above all Others is Pleased with Your Heart for the Quality Service you Provide to Your Community and Outsiders. Mr. Hall is a very good man, sharp-eyed, and kind. He discerns drivers' intentions very well and enforces law accordingly. The effect is much safer roads and a happy community.

I lived and owned a retail business in Flowood for over 10 years. Our store had problems with shoplifters but we quickly learned that we would rather deal with the issue ourselves than involve the Flowood PD. The majority of the officers were incompetent and reckless in their behavior. Some were clearly roid-ragers and unstable. We could never be sure how they would act. They were likely to turn against the person calling them for help. They seemed angry to have to deal with actual police work rather than randomly harassing motorists on Lakeland Drive. After talking to a couple of their detectives, one of whom repeatedly spit tobacco juice against the wall as we spoke, we decided to take our chances handling the criminals ourselves. We would just get our merchandise back from the thieves and tell them to stay out of our store. We decided that was actually safer than calling Flowood PD. Sad. The only reason I gave them two stars instead of one is because a few of them do an effective job of keeping the worst criminal elements from Jackson out of the area. I know that's a dangerous job and I want to give credit where it's due.
