A don't miss attraction for those who adore literature and history. The gardens are beautiful, too!
Jessica gave me a tour and it was fantastic. We walked and talked throughout the house and then she oriented me to the gardens in back. The house was as Eudora left it and Jessica was very knowledgeable about Eudora's life. So much fun. Tours are going on now $10 but call ahead to reserve.
Even our 16 year old granddaughter enjoyed the tour!
Worth learning about, could learn most about it by a through reading in the welcome center. Was interesting looking through the house. $10 tour fee goes to a good cause.
Extremely sweet and hospitable people. Very knowledgeable and helpful. The home & information center/gift shop is kept up immaculately. The home is intact to orginalality of Eudora time. I would definitely recommend to any book lover, history buff or just looking for something to do. The home is not handicap accessible though. Which is understandable in keeping to the orginalality.
