Jiffy Lube

Went for an oil change, the customer service was excellent from start to finish. They drove the vehicle into the bay whilst I sat in a comfortable waiting area which had complementary coffee, a pay snack machine and a TV. They checked all the other fluid levels, topped up where necessary, anything that might cost extra was explained without a hard sell. The interior was also wiped down. They give a 10% military discount.

Good service and awesome people. They do my oil changes when I don't have time to do them myself. They never complain if I watch them do their servicing.

Had my oil changed. My wife is driving the car to florida, calls me saying there is a strange noise at 60 mph. I suspected the cowling under the engine was making the noise. She pulled over and checked it. 1/3 of the cowling was loose. The cowling must be removed to change the oil. It was not reinstalled properly as it is a pain to deal with. Had this problem with Jiffy Lube in the past. I should not have to inspect their work. There were no issues before the oil change.nnUpdate:nThanks for the reply and offer to fix it but my wife called and told me the cowling had blown off with a crunching sound somewhere around the Georgia State line. The flapping noise is gone though. Last time this happened I paid about $350 for a new cowling from Hyundai.I have taking that car to the same shop since it was new in 2013. It is getting too expensive to use your shop anymore. Also the environmental filter cover was on the dash when i got in the car. Had to point it out to get it reinstalled.

Another Jiffy Lube location replaced the rear axle and CV joint boot. The problem is they damaged my car in several other ways. So I called the 1-800 corporate number where they said i could take it to another Jiffy Lube closer to my house to see what was wrong. That location (located in California, MD 20619) gave it a quick visual only inspection but did not use any tools or measuring devices to inspect my concerns. I emailed the corporate Jiffy Lube contact and they basically said it was no longer their problem even though this has all happened in the last month and i have a 1-year warranty.nnThe original Jiffy Lube installer dented the rear tie rod knuckle and ripped the rear ball joint boots in the process of the axle install. Also, the steering wheel was crooked by about 30 degrees off center because they didn't properly align the rear suspension when reassembling everything. The rear passenger side toe angle was so far out (2 degrees which is way too much) that my car wanted to veer to the left into oncoming traffic during light rain even though i was only going 35 mph.nnSo i was forced to use another garage business to inspect my car and see if they can fix it. They were able to fix the steering wheel angle and fix the rear alignment which was CAUSED by a improperly assembled lose rear control arm (lose bolts), That cost me $140 but i'll need to another repair which will probably cost closer to $1000 to disassemble the rear suspension to replace the ball joint boots.nnDo yourself a favor, don't use Jiffy Lube at any location.
