Berry Elementary School

This is my son's 1st year there and he is in pre k I don't see enough structure and activities for his class. My 3 yr has more homework and books to read then my 4 yr old. I pray kindergarten is better. I pray I learn to like and see more productivity out of this school.

Some of the students are out of control and it seem the administration there does nothing to correct bad behaviour. Yesterday on one of the school buses several children sitting in the rear of the bus was throwing items on the bus striking several other students, causing one child to cry from the pain of being hit with a thrown pencil. They then throw hard candy to the front trying to hit the driver while the bus was in motion. The driver called Berry Elementary for the video to be pulled today and wrote up the student that was witnessed throwing the candy toward the driver. The principal stated this evening that she was to busy to pull the video and thus far nothing has happened to those students. This behaviour on a school bus can cause harm to other on the bus or even an accident if that candy had struck that driver. This administration desire is to be a referral free school at the cause of not disciplining and correcting bad behavior. There are several driver that have tried to get Berry Elementary administrators to help correct the behavior on their buses to no avail.

I went to school here when it opened and loved it. The teachers were good and facilities were good.

Bullying problem at this school was so bad for my 5th grader... they need more training on how to prevent the bullying problem. My son had 17 plus bullies and he felt that no one at the school was listening until a few weeks before school ended. It was a horrible experience.

i am still going to berry and i love it. I love my teacher and sadly this will be my last year year but i had a wonderful time. The teachers there in 5th grade they will get you ready for 6th. They will teach you that we cant just get up and g to our lockers ( we have lockers in the classroom and you have to share it with someone unless you don't have a partner ) they will also teach you the things that we need to learn and how you should act so i am sad that this will be my last year at berry then i and my friends will be moving on to middle school yeah!!! i think middle school is going to be fun because you will have your own locker and everything then i will get to see my friends that are now in 6th grade and when i get there they will be in 7th and we will be riding the same bus!!!
