A little gem in Eastern Prince William. The home dates to 1747, and I hope to explore it sometime, but as a place to take a walk with our dog it is simply wonderful. The property has lots of little paths, a teaching garden, cool breezes, flowers here and there, views, birds and sweet smells from the native and cultivated plantings.
A great historic site with talented interpreters. It looks like they are continuing to improve the site with a sidewalk going to the neighboring park.
Such a cool place and interesting history. More people should visit
Bring bug spray for the mosquitos! We just wandered around the property on a Sunday evening. The gift shop was already closed so we didn't go inside the house. It was easy to social distance because no one else was there. I would like to come back some day for a guided tour to learn more.
