Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center

This is a beautiful resort in a great location close to DC and Alexandria. You have access to shuttles and buses so that you do not have to drive into DCnAlso, there are lots of activities on the grounds so you don't want to leave. I visit at least twice per year.

This place is completely closed for the entirety of the pandemic but not marked as such. Neither the official website nor the various booking travel sites makes it clear that they are not accepting reservations and the property is closed for renovations. Unsure how they expect people to find out. They simply say that rooms are not available and I spent many minutes trying to book a room here, as well as a rainy walk to the site itself once we were in town.

This hotel every December 20th i do a three day trip there with my grandma this hotel is wholesome i like the lobby the ice show and everything here is awesome

Amazing Hotel, best convention center ever. I've only stayed at the hotel once because its not cheap at all during events but overall its awesome!

Great family fun. Different themes throughout the year. I love Gaylords in general because they are always well taken care of and fun to walk around. Great restaurants. We went during Christmas time last year and honestly it was fantastic!!! They transform it into a winter wonderland with Santa’s workshop, indoor ice skating rink, ice sculptures, super fun for kids and adults. Rooms are on the smaller side but still nice and very clean!!
