Beyond the Bayou Tours

Highly recommend! Our family enjoyed our ride in tandem kayaks with our guide. We loved that we could hop into the kayaks in the bayou right from their spot (no additional bus ride). The bayou was beautiful, serene, and isolated. We saw some wildlife, and learned about the ecosystem. Being in a kayak allowed us to experience the stillness of the bayou. Highly recommend for anyone and any skill level!

I booked a bayou and plantation tour. Jared was very friendly and helpful over the phone. Eric was on time (even early) to pick us up at the front door if our hotel and drive us all day! He gave us the best recommendations for food!! Go to Jacques-imos to eat while I’m NOLA!! Captain Al was very funny and knew everything about the swamp. We had a great day!

This was definitely a highlight of our trip to NOLA! Aaron (our driver) and Albert (tour guide) were fun, knowledgeable and professional. We learned about the history of New Orleans and about the wildlife in the bayou and saw a good amount of animals and wildlife! We had a great time and definitely recommend this tour company ☺ufe0f

This was such a phenomenal experience!! Our driver Aaron was fantastic! Not only does he drive really well but he also taught us so much from his experiences in Louisiana!! We did the paddling through the swamp and it definitely beat all expectations I had!! Jared and Jessica were our guides and the amount of knowledge they have of the land and the life that exists in the area was admirable!! I cannot wait to come back to New Orleans and do this tour again! Thank you all for such a great educational and exhilarating experience!

I searched high and low for an animal-friendly and environmentally-friendly swamp/bayou tour that was COVID-safe, and Beyond the Bayou was the answer! No feeding animals, low-impact boat, masks throughout, etc. Our tour guide Albert was fantastic - he knew EVERYTHING about the bayou, from trees to plants to animals to birds to history, and was kind and engaging too.
