Wonderful museum! Very well laid out, really nice exhibits, a lot of history here. It’s a LOT bigger than it looks from the outside. Allow yourself several hours if you’re someone who like to peruse and read each exhibit. Plenty of benches for those who need to stop and rest their feet a bit. The guides are friendly and knowledgeable, very eager to share their knowledge and personal experiences as pilots as well. Not many things for small children to do but if you have a kiddo who really enjoys planes and such, it might be right for them. Also highly recommend a walk through the memorial garden and the chapel is absolutely beautiful on a sunny day. Highly recommend this stop.

This is our second time visiting the Mighty Eighth Museum and always so beautiful to see! The staff here are wonderful people, many of whom are veterans themselves! They are constantly adding exhibits and changing things up to keep you coming back and they do an amazing job at it!

Mighty in name and mighty in nature, this museum has an exhibition space some 8,300 square metres in area.nnIt exists to tell the story of the Eighth Air Force, a unit that was formed in 1942 with the US entry into the Second World War, and was instrumental in the success of the Allies in Europe.nnIts displays tell the many stories of brave individuals who fought as part of the force, from World War Two when its men were based in the UK, right through to more recent times including operations in Iraq.nnThe museum’s combat gallery allows visitors to see the restoration of a Second World War B-17 bomber up close, before they enjoy a drink in the British-style pub.

2nd time here, the B-17 was still being pieced together the first time there. Went back to see the progress. I have to say, the museum itself is amazing in and of itself, but that B-17, is just an awesome machine. It is just incredible the job they have done, painstakingly rebuilding that plane back to its former glory. It really is a sight to behold. Aside from the B-17, the rest of the museum is a somber stroll through what the greatest generation went through regarding their place in history. Everyone should visit, so these amazing airmen and their sacrifices are never forgotten.

What an awesome museum. You want to stop here - provides some good history into the creation and life of the USAF. The staff is very friendly and even during the COVID times able to talk about the facility. Tours are sparse but will get better. Great local attraction.
