Winter Springs Elementary School

Great school and amazing teachers! Everyone from the ladies at the front office, to the teachers and even the Principal care about the students. It's truly the best school my child has attended!

Worst school in Florida! Dr Tina Irwin and Erin Mandell are horrible people! They only want what is best for them and what makes their jobs easiest. They both need to be fired! They do not follow IEP for special need children. They want parents to drug and Medicate kids so they act like little zombies!!! This school is the devil and so are their staff!!!! Parents beware!! I have withdrawn my son from their administration due to incompetence of their principals and teachers!!

Poorly runned School. They might show that they are great with line up, pick up only before a certain time ( which they are really stern on) and drop off at exactly 8am, smiling faces at the front desk but the real problem is behind the classroom doors. The problem is with teachers and the principle. When incidents happen at this school no one does anything about it. They brush everything under the rug and think it is ok to not inform the parents. After the third time something happened my son went to the PRINCILPLE ( I told him to go to her) and she did nothing about a bullying situation. ONLY after I approached her about the situation she then proceeded to do something about it. And right infornt of me she had the nerve to sit there and interrogate my son trying to get him to say he never went to her when that same day that it happened he came home and told me exactly what happened and i took my notes. I gave it more than a few days to see if she would reach out to me and she failed to do so. She told me she slightly remembered the situation. Aren’t you suppose to inform the parent that same day? Aren’t you suppose to take these situations serious? At this school the children do not come first. The Priciple clearly needs to retire. Well over due. Especially how she spoke to my son, she is not for the children. ALL TEACHERS should be taking courses on handling bullying. Don’t they know that even how the teachers talk to the children can be a form of bullying? The things that are said to these kids are ridiculous. Shows you how these teachers were raised. Where are the standards? Where are the teachers that have true concern for the children. Aren’t there proper procedures that have to be followed? So sad that this is an elementary school with so many children with futures ahead of them and their teachers are instilling negativity into them. My son is a very smart kid and I will not tolerate anyone jeopardizing his well being.
