Deserted, Dirty, unattended, station.nTrain over 1hour late
we almost going to miss the train the lady at the train station did not even say anything to us, she just continue what she was doing. I went out side asking the train employee if this one going to the SC and he answer me in short time rushing my daughter to hurry up so he will not miss her. That strange they suppose to announce it or say something while we are waiting even if we are just two person in the station they suppose to inform us as soon the train is arrive. The bathroom smile bad and dirty. And no security at all.

Super friendly staff, nice quiet station/museum to wait for the trains in. Highly recommend the Amtrak train even though it is usually late. Take the silver meteor, not the star, if you want a good meal. Also make sure you have the time for delay if you ride.
Its not a full working station for Amtrak. The train only stops if someone is getting off or on the train. The employee at the window is a Greyhound employee and can not assist with Amtrak.nnAs far as the museum goes, if you love old stuff, you will enjoy the museum. Its neat and has clean bathrooms.nnAs far as dealing with Amtrak, I can only say I have never been more frustrated booking a trip as I was with them, they even canceled my trip and left me stranded at the station.nnThey do lock up the station when the greyhound person leaves and its not a safe area to be at if your alone at night. I would ssuggest having someone wait with you.
