Very quaint, but extremely informative museum. Amazing artifacts and history of Cedar Key. Walks you through the colorful history of this waterfront village. I love the way they have been able to maintain Old Florida in this ever changing fast moving world. This place makes you feel like you're coming home.

Very well done museum with so much information about the area. Probably the most thorough information I have ever seen at a local historical museum on coverage of the history of the area.

Nostalgic, pleasant, peaceful. Amazing small town with plenty shops to visit and great food. The view of the lake is relaxing and satisfying.

This is a small (2 buildings) museum of the history of Cedar Key and surrounding area. I give it 4 stars only because many of the displays and citations need to be revamped. Many are faded or are in need of editing. The docent was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. When she wasn't sure of a couple questions we asked she took some time, made a phone call and got back to us while we perused the displays.nI did enjoy my visit! My wife and I are museum geeks and we like to read everything.nnWe spent about 3 hours there. They have the usual things for sale: books, trinkets, etc.. There are restrooms at the museum. It is located very near to anything else you'd want to do in Cedar Key.
