This place is located in a friendly and warming environment with hardworking staff who ensure child safety at all times. Black Mountain Elementary School makes sure your child is being educated and having fun while doing so. They have programs such as First Priority, a bible study option that your child can partake in, but doesn’t have to, Academic Team, a Team for the academically gifted students with A/B honor roll all through the nine weeks. Math Counts for the people who like to learn about math, want to learn more about it, or want to compete in math-related things. The principal and assistant principal Mrs. LeFevers and Mr. Hughes both treat the children fair and with care, and always help to make the day better for students. Recently they’ve started the ‘96r’s club for classrooms who’ve had perfect attendance/only missed two children out of all of the nine weeks. You get rewards for having that, such as a movie, snacks, etc. All in all, Black Mountain is a wonderful, family-friendly, hardworking, and great school for your children or for children in general.
