Words can't descrbe how I feel about this system, but i'll try my best. They hire amazing staff for the schools. That is the only good thing I can say. Wise County has no common sense once so ever when it comes to the weather. Praise the Lord my house didn't get a lot of snow. I know people who are still snowed into their homes, yet school is still going on, not even on a snow schedule. People need time to heal and get their lives back together. I believe that the students and staffs safety is more important than your attandence policy or your little awards that you get when your attendence is the best. The people are more important. The children will still get counted against them, even though it's not even their fault. My child stays sick, she worries and worries about her attendence. Her grades are absoulty wonderful, yet she gets treated differently. You should be ASHAMED of yourselves. When the buses slip on ice trying to do their route, and the bus driver and children get hurt, hopefully that will knock some sense into the system. Proably not, because it seems like you are the ones that matter. Not the lives of your staff and students. This makes me so upset and sad to see. Hopefully lives won't be in your hands.
