High Knob Lookout Tower

Fantastic View, great hiking in and around the tower; was very quiet and very few other hikers when we were there. In late summer the whole area was covered with gold finches, a doe and her twin fawns walked within 10' of us, wildflowers were everywhere and it was just a great get away to get perspective on the chaos of 2020 and enjoy the beauty of nature (including the sudden shower that caught us!), and the blessing of the bountiful mountain areas seen from the top.

Great spot for views with an easy grade trail for people to go up. Handicap accessible.

Fantastic place to look over 3 different states. The road to the top is in excellent shape. Dogs accepted. Road to the top is not for the faint of heart who may not like 180 degree turns. Beautiful in the fall. Plenty of parking on top. See Flag Rock too on the way up.

After four miles up the curvey road , we got to the lookout . View was great , even with the cold wind , it was worth it .

GRAND VIEW!! It's so pretty, and on a clear day you can see the mountains of North Carolina!
