Beautiful and a great collection of history well worth the trip
Very nice regional history museum that tells the story of Big Stone Gap and far southwest Virginia. The interior of the house is worth the visit. The grounds are beautiful and the interior of the house is in remarkable condition. The story of the early inhabitants is told with pictures and artifacts. The gift shop has a small collection of locally produced craft items.
Kid friendly. Wonderful staff. Incredible events. We spent a few hours there and my 6 year old had the time of his life! Annual pass is extremely affordable.
