It was a very educational experience. I enjoyed all the exhibits especial the Jazz exhibit. I'll definitely come back again.

This museum had great insights into Richmond's, very rich, African American history. The hostess was very knowledgeable and passionate about the museum contents and stories. There is a temporary exhibit (through Oct '20, I think) that details the history and life of enslaved people at the Monticello plantation owned by Thomas Jefferson. The amount of research and work that went into the exhibit was evident and very much appreciated. Be sure to purchase tickets online to reserve your entry.

What an awesome experience but unfortunately it was closed due to covid. I did get to walk around the building and see the rich history it holds. Will return when its safe
