Cedarfield

The absolute worst place to go. They look good when you first get there. BUT, you go to a place like Cedarfield for the care you want when you need assistance, can’t take care of yourself, or the medical care at the end of your life. They completely failed my mother. My siblings and I spent so much time and many nights taking care of our mom because of the lack of care she received. We witnessed so many things - the terrible care for our mom and other residents. If a resident needed help to bathroom and called for assistance, the nurses don’t come at all or come too late. The nurses are not properly trained to do their jobs. We complained many times to the head of the nursing department to no avail. We were pretty much ignored. They said they would do something. Did they? NO.nThe nurses drop residents, the residents have cuts and nurses don’t call the families (essentially hide it from the family). My mother was given wrong medications. We were there one night and saw wrong medications the nurse was going to give and stopped her. My mother had an UTI and the Cedarfield doctor never called in the medication. My mother was dropped and she broke her elbow. Her family was not called about the drop. One of her friends, that use to be a nurse, came for visit that day and saw my mother’s elbow and had to MAKE the nurses call an ambulance to take her to the hospital. Mom had to have surgery on her elbow. Because of the UTI medication not being given and the surgery, my mom never woke up. She died because of the heinous care she received at Cedarfield. You give them all your money for the kind of medical care you expect and pay for to receive at the end of your life. Cedarfield should be shut down because of the heinous care my mom received.

I have lived at Cedarfield for three years... probably one of the best decisions I ever made.. As a single woman after 53 years of marriage, I’m enjoying a life very similar to life on a cruise ship but without sea sickness or cramped living quarters! Activities and services of every kind are provided and the meals are really 4-star! My children know that I am safe and really enjoying life.... they tell me that I have given them the best gift ever!

Nice folks and an amazing facility. Walking around it feels more like a resort than retirement place. I was incredibly impressed by everything after taking a tour a few months back. The amenities, the food and man, oh, man that pool is opulent! I highly recommend Cedarfield for anyone looking for Independent Living options.

I have had two generations of family members living at Cedarfield---the legacy of excellence has always been and continues to be the cornerstone of this community. Cedarfield's Master Planned Expansion is exceptional. New Pathways to Wellness Building and New restaurants offer residents great amenities. More importantly, team members who operate these services truly care about the residents.

My coming to Cedarfield ranks high among the best decisions I have ever made! I absolutely love living here.
