Super 8 by Wyndham Wytheville

Very disappointing. I am amazed by the number of reviews noting how clean this Super 8 is. We stopped here at around midnight, after a long drive, to get a few hours of sleep before continuing our journey home. I would have left 0 stars but gave 2 stars only because the front desk receptionist was very kind, personable, and accommodating. Everything else about our stay was terrible. Our 1st room smelled very strongly of old cigarettes upon entering. While my husband and I were trying to disinfect with Clorox wipes, we found a lipstick smear in the sunk, crumbs on the floor, a wadded gum wrapper on the nightstand, a faint ring inside the toilet bowl, water/toothpaste marks on the mirror above the sink, and dust on top of the door of the mini fridge.nWe called reception and requested another room. Again, the woman at the desk was very nice, apologized profusely, and put us in another room. The 2nd room was somewhat cleaner and smelled better, but had multiple body hairs in the tub/shower.nAll nearby hotels were booked and we were tired so we brought our own pillows and a blanket in from the car and decided to go to sleep. Parking lot was noisy all night; there was a loud train that passed through several times somewhere nearby, and a very loud man in a close room talking on his phone until 3am then started again at 6am.nObviously, the loud patron and some outside noises were not the fault of the motel, but overall cleanliness was just really bad. We awoke the following morning after a restless night, decided to forego showers and even skipped brushing our teeth so as not to use the sink for anything besides washing our hands.nWe would definitely not stay here again. The photos and reviews are very deceiving.

Wonderful place to stay great price for the money the sagebrush food is within walking distance nice clean rooms best of all in see any bugs

The desk clerk and her staff were very pleasant.eager to help in our needs.nClean room and beds were professionally made. Bathrooms were also clean and all of the toiletries that we needed.nGlad to have been a customer of theirs.

So incredibly friendly and helpful! I was traveling alone, pregnant, with my dog and cat. Not only did they help me bring all my bags and both animals inside, they told me all the best places to order out from during my stay, and even gave me a pep talk about being pregnant and alone. The room was so perfect and clean too. I can't thank the kindness of the staff enough. Anytime I'm on my way back north I'll be stopping here again.

Good clean rooms. A little dark in the room with low watt bulbs. Bed comfortable & great shower.
