Their website says they offer free estimates but that's only for remodeling jobs. Otherwise, $100 for the pleasure of receiving their 30 minutes of assessment prior to any work being done. Good deal!
We discovered just days after closing on our home and while packing to leave, that our water heater was leaking, slowly from the top. I called Peggy at Hooks mid-afternoon and Zack and Jerry showed up early next morning with our new water heater. Not only were they pleasant, polite and strong young men (they moved the freezer with ease) but they did a beautiful re-piping job in a difficult corner so the new heater with its larger dimensions would fit. And my husband and I know what we are talking about. We have had a small plumbing company in Northern Virginia for 30 years and just closed our business in 2019. I've used Hooks Plumbing twice and they are responsive and very good. Highly recommended.
My townhouse was built with defective pipes (polybutalene) and the upper floor flooded. That flood cascaded through the next two floors. I had 5 estimates for the job of replacing my pipes. FJ Hooks beat them all by a mile. I was there for most of the time they replaced the pipes, and these guys are rock solid professionals, and treat your home as if it was their own. These guys are better than advertised. Don't be surprised if the owner of the company shows up to inspect the work himself. The company cares about the work they will leave behind. Superb!
Have used them 3x for various plumbing issues at my home in Arlington. Always well priced, quick, and the work has been great. Will continue to use them whenever a plumbing issue comes up.
