This company was sent to my place to repair my water heater through my insurance company. The heater had to be replaced and the cost was covered by the insurance but the plate wasn't. I had no idea what the plate was and how much it costs so when they told me I needed to pay additional $231 I didn't question them. After they repaired and paid them, I checked the cost of the plate online. Well it is only $9.00 at the local stores. I called Long's to question the price, the man on the phone said labor. And when I told they are already being paid for labor by the insurance company, his answer was that is a set price. Basically, the double dipped. They charged me and the insurance company for labor. They are a scammer, dishonest. I do not recommend using them. What they have done is stealing. There was no additional trip made to pick up the plate and there was no additional labor used to put it under the brand new heater they were replacing. They just don't have any excuse to charge me 230 times more than what should have costed me. Unbelievable!!! RUN AWAY FROM THEM. Find an honest company.

I just wanted to share my frustration at Long’s Corporation.nnI knew them through the AC warranty company I have, and had a great experience with them since last year until recently, when I had an issue with my AC that they fixed, and that reoccurred after three weeks. They came to my house to take a look at the problem, and diagnosed the same issue, but on a different part of the reversing valve. The tech who diagnosed the problem recommended that the reversing valve should be replaced and that they will seek approval from my warranty company to make the repair.nnI followed up the next they (being very eager to have our AC fixed given the current temperature), only to find out that they misreported the issue with my warranty company telling them that my AC system had to be replaced which is not covered under my policy, hence the denial of the repair. This is completely different from what the tech told and emailed me the “diagnosis report”.nnI tried reaching out to them about the matter twice, and felt that they were giving me run-around responses in order not to service my system. This to the point of blaming the platform where my AC stands, which they say vibrates and therefore caused the problem. I had my system and the platform checked by 3 other companies, and all 3 noted that the platform is sturdy enough to do its job.nnThe point here is, had they reported the issue with my warranty company honestly and accurately, my AC would have been repaired and working by now.nnStill wondering though if this is their way to hook me to replace my system for money or could it be that my warranty company will pay them too little for the service to be done?nnSad to say, all these gave me the vibes of a company tolerating dishonest, lazy and incompetent technicians.

Kyle was amazing. We had an issue with a leak that we had no idea where it came from.nPrevious company couldn’t detect the leak.nI called longs corporation through hone serve and they were very responsive and on time.nI just want to say thank you Kyle for your service!!!!!
