The museum isn't currently open to the public, but when they reopen they have a very cool suffrage exhibit they will be displayed. Also they have allowed James River Theatre Compnay to hold their performances of Much Ado About Nothing. Great place to visit and theatre company was quite talented.
The exhibits are diverse and carefully curated, staff is very helpful and the setting in downtown Lynchburg is exceptional. As a newcomer to Lynchburg the permanent collection really helped me understand my new home.

Enjoyed exploring and learning about the history of the Virginia area with visiting guests. We walked up the entire stairway leading to the museum too. Very enjoyable.
Very nice place to visit! A must see when you're in the area! I loved the whole town, very historic!
