This electric company has to be the worst that I have ever worked with. They say one thing and after all is done they won’t do what they say. There is no common sense with any of the engineers what so ever. The book sense is what they are all about. If their common sense was to save their lives in any moment we would have new engineers. Super poor service and hopefully Dominion power buys them out and we get better service.
The lady I talk to you on the phone was very polite courteous and very helpful I highly recommend this company because of her service. At my old house I have dominion power and I never received customer service to the level that I did from Shenandoah electric cooperative . Very pleased !
Not happy that they charged us a large deposit based on prior owners usage. We always pay our bill within days after we receive it, have never been late and they are holding a large deposit. Deposits should be based on payment history, not prior customer usage. If not for holding a large deposit without a justifiable reason I would probably give a higher rating. The power goes out often but is usually restored in a reasonable amount of time. We moved here from out of state. The rates are lower but we had better service and never had to pay such a huge deposit.
Nearly flawless service since 1974! Reasonable prices, and outages get fixed as fast as could be expected. Thank you SVEC, for almost 50 years of electrifying our home and business, though I think most of us could do without the misplaced religious nonesense in the coop magazine. Better you folks do your little talking-snakebook invisible freind deal on your own time.
