Virginia State Police Area 16 Office

Absolutely wonderful!!! I witnessed today two Virginia state troopers assist with injured wildlife along US Route 33 (East of Harrisonburg, VA). Both officers were extremely responsive in providing help not only to the injured animal, but to motorists by eliminating the chance of a motorist accident on a very busy highway. Additionally, the officer went a step further to ensure the safety and recovery of the injured animal by taking it to a wildlife center for medical attention. After seeing this today and the level of care and help performed has put my respect for officers on a whole different leveI and I can not extend enough appreciation to both of these officers! Thank you for all that you do and please know we appreciate you!!!!!!
