Upper Musselshell Historical

Amazing little nugget of history, and its layout is just fantastic for a sleepy towns museum. I miss the old building. But the exhibits are far better as a trade off.

This museum was a huge disappointment. It was by far the worst museum on the Montana Dinosaur Trail. Quite frankly I think it should be removed from the Trail. It's dinosaur collection was minimal and not worth the drive to see.nThe rest of the museum was also poor. It contained a lot of very well preserved items from local residents but nothing was labeled. Going from room to room you basically just saw a bunch of old clothing and household goods and had no idea why these things meant anything at all.nThese folks need to get busy and do some work do improve the layout of their collection and type up a few cards that describe what you are seeing.nVery, very disappointing.
