Awesome little museum. Don't come here expecting a big building with multiple rooms or floors or anything, BUT you can expect quite a bit of information and displays with the room that they do have. It's essentially condensed to a single octagonal room, but the walls and floor space is full of artifacts and history trivia of the Shoshone Bannock Tribe.nnAdmission was very affordable, just a few bucks for an adult.nnMy main reason coming here was for my interest in archaeology and anthropology, and both subjects were satisfied here. I really liked the stone tools and descriptions of the tribe's culture.nnSmall gift shop when you walk in. There were some finer crafts with higher prices inside the glass displays, but there was also plenty of other neat stuff that were extremely affordable ($1-$5 range). I got a beaded bracelet, necklace, gemstone, two postcards, a pack of trivia pictures, and two posters all for like $15. Including the price of admission, I think I spent less than $20 here, but feel like I got a lot more value than the price I paid.nnVery nice and friendly people working here who were happy to talk and answer questions.nnPandemic safety measures were fortunately in place and enforced (masks required, social distancing, limit to 8 people at a time). Which was a breath of fresh air since everywhere else I've stopped in Idaho has been inundated with people not wearing masks and nobody enforcing masks when I've gone into places that require them.nnI'm only visiting Pocatello for one day in my travels, and other museums in the area seem to be closed on Mondays. So, I'm glad this place was open for me to check out!nnOverall, great experience, really enjoyed the browse and souvenirs!
Very interesting exhibits of the history and culture of the Shoshone and Bannock people. Thank you so much for such an instructive and educational experience. Keep up the good work.
A very neat little museum. The lady that was working there the day we went was so friendly and informative. We loved visiting with her.
I love this place would love to have more time here when passing threw it’s a great place to stop. Definitely going to plan a trip just to stay a night or two.
Great little museum with a ton of information, the staff was friendly and informative. The buffalo had just had her calf a few days before my visit and he is just adorable. they also had a wall of cattle brands used by the native Americans.
