Kootenai Valley Motel

Inexpensive, great water pressure in the shower, comfortable beds, grocery store directly across the street. Very friendly owners. In fact this whole town is friendly and SO BEAUTIFUL! We were here on business but I would consider the 1800 mile drive again for a visit.

I wish I could add a .5 to that score. We were on a budget and needed a cheap place to stay. It reminded me of roadside motels we stayed at when I was a kid. The bed was comfortable, room was clean and had a small fridge and microwave. The woman at the front desk was very friendly and helpful and gave us suggestions of places to go.nnI did wish there was a blow dryer in the room, maybe a 4th pillow and a couple more towels. Still, I would be willing to stay again.nI do have to say that I've read some of the owner's responses to review posts, and have to commend her for responding professionally and positively, or not at all if the situation merits it.

One of the best small town motels I've ever stayed in. Management was down to earth and very friendly and funny. If I'm in that area again I'll definitely be booking a room here. Thank you to ALL the staff. You're great. Will definitely be referring people to stay at this little motel.

A single thin blanket in winter, a heater that groans and pops loudly, dogs fenced right behind the rooms that bark at anything that moves, trains on the tracks across the street using their horn at 2am, thin walls that let you hear someone snoring 2 rooms away... its about what I expected but the $99 per night they will try to charge you (because of the nice wood furniture they said) is not worth the bad nights sleep.

Very nice place to stay with friendly managers and guests. Recently renovated room #4. Motorcycle friendly. Grocery store across the street. Beautiful property with large trees. A++
