La Boca

Lovely place and atmosphere. Food is outstanding! The mussels are my favorite I’ve had in a very long time. The sauce is truly divine! Great wine, also.

Desperately wanted to enjoy this restaurant, unfortunately everything was just a complete disappointment.nWe sat down here on a busy Saturday evening, hoping that by the bustling atmosphere and the glowing reviews, that we were in for a treat.nBut after slow service, overcooked shrimp, under seasoned food, dry chicken, and the worst Chicharrón's I've had in New Mexico. The whole night was a let down. We ordered the Paella for two initially, which also at the time was the most expensive thing on the menu, and it honestly was terrible. The entire dish was bland and overcooked. We politely sent it back.nI then took a safe bet and ordered the tacos and Chicharrón's, hoping a few simple dishes would save the evening. But even both of those simple dishes, held up to the poor standard of flavor and quality that La Boca seems to carry for their food.nWe have dined at well over a hundred different restaurant's in New Mexico and this one is easily in the bottom five for me. I would honestly recommend trying your luck somewhere else, in fact eat fast food before coming here. Sorry for the harsh critique, but I try to always write the truth of the experience, and this is a complete fail.

La Boca is amazing. We sat out on the street in a very safe and comfortable environment. They had a heater right next to our table. Our server was excellent in every way. We tried every tapas dish we had room for and were never disappointed. This restaurant is a Santa Fe staple and needs to be supported in these trying times.

We enjoyed our food & experience at La Boca. Whatever the dish is featured in the below photo was incredible - it was recommended by our waiter. The Sangria wasn’t too sweet & dangerously drinkable.

Solid food - really great seafood - we got mussels and shrimp. Veggie paella for one was a huge portion - could have fed 3 easily. Some hiccups in the service, felt like they were trying to get us to order the most expensive things or more things. Also made a mistake in our bill. But all in all a nice experience.
