Artisan Salon & Spa

I’ve been going to Artisan Salon ever since it changed ownership last year. First off, the salon itself is clean and well-appointed. You can peruse the hair products and little trinkets/ jewelry by local artists at the front of the salon while you wait for your appointment. However, service is so good that the wait is not long so you have to come in early or stay after your appointment to do so. Second, my stylist and salon owner, Kara, does a wonderful job on my hair. She is such a master in color (you can see all her certificates and achievements posted in her area!) that I only have to tell her a vague description of what I want and it’s like she reads my mind and executes it perfectly. Booking appointments with her is also so convenient — just do it online or call (less convenient but still easy, nonetheless). She works with my schedule (I drive 80 miles just to see her. She’s that good!) and has even gone so far as to open early just for me. Come to Artisan Salon and ask for Kara! You will not be disappointed.nnP.S. Last month I was in the market for a new hair dryer and I used Artisan Salon’s online store to get a Moroccanoil hair dryer. I was able to find an upgraded version of what was offered at Sephora at the same price. The online store was easy to navigate, I got free shipping and received my item in two days despite the pandemic shipping delays that affect all the rest of online stores!

Great place. Really, really clean.

This small salon has great stylists who really know how to cut and color. The new owner has the shop super clean and has added lots of great products. Everyone is very good. I’ve been going to Spanky for over 15 years and am never disappointed.
