Canton Police impound lot

I was very upset with my visit to the impound lot today(9/19/17). The woman at the window not only disrespected my mother and I, but also treated me as if I was beneath her time and effort. I had to go to the building twice today. The first trip was to retrieve my drivers license and registration from the vehicle. These items were in the glove box and center console when the vehicle was impounded but they must have mysteriously vanished because when the rude employees took me to my car they were no longer in the vehicle. I am most upset by the fact that when I approached my Honda I realized that it was not locked, leaving my car to the whim of any thief( or even employee) to take their pick of my belongings which total combined value is close to $1,000! My mother and I then returned after purchasing a new drivers license and registration form from the BMV and from the Canton Police Department where I had to pay over $25 for a gate pass that is required to get my items from my vehicle(which is only good for one business day) at 3:10pm to retrieve the items I use daily for my trade and the woman snapped at me that I was too late to do so. She said they closed at 3:30, the website clearly states that their hours of operation are 8:00am-4:00pm. I asked why she could not take me to my vehicle with 20 minutes left open. She said they only help individuals after 3pm who are paying to retrieve their vehicle and drive it off the lot. There were three employees sitting around, one woman talked and held up her hands showing her freshly painted nails and offered to paint the woman at the windows as well, as she said this and implied that they were too busy to walk to the gate and let me collect my items. I am glad my tax dollars pay for these employees to play salon, shoot the s**t and close 30 minutes earlier than their website(and google) state their closing time is. I would have not put any stars at all as reviewing this but it will not let you post without at least a single star clicked.. If it was up to me they'd receive negative 5 stars.
