Summit Academy Community School for Alternative Learners - LORAIN

This is the worse possible school you can send your child; this school says that it is for children with adhd and they don’t know how to handle any situation with him. They are disrespectful to the children and think just because they are a child that nobody will believe or listen to them; I feel like if this school is supposed to specialize in specific things than how come the workers aren’t using there degree instead of calling the parent everytime one small thing goes wrong; the Staff is very unprofessional and rude and I feel like the school should be shut down; my son never has homework idk what he is struggling with at school because there is no communication between the teachers and parents; how am I supposed to help my child with things he is struggling with if I don’t even know what’s going on; if you go to there about page on the website it says a lot of nice things to grab your attention about how the place is and it really makes you feel like dang I didn’t know there was a place that exist that can actually be a benefit to my child but, it is all lies; the principal is rude and is very unprofessional if you don’t care for a child you shouldn’t get mad and talk about that child when they can hear you and what you are saying about them; on the about us page of the website it says “Instructors who are not aware of the special ways of learning of a child with ADHD may dismiss the child as having bad behavior and an unwillingness to learn, but our instructors at Summit Academy know that it takes a little more patience and caring.” They are not patient and they aren’t caring with these children; the lack of patience that they have with the children is ridiculous they don’t try to help them they just immediately try and get rid of the child; it brings me to my next subject of them saying there is a behavior specialist at the school; she is always at the school but doesn’t do nythjng doesn’t know how to talk to the children or control a situation she just lets the principal do it and he isn’t training to handle these children or if he is he is doing a terrible job; the grades for the school last year was terrible and obviously this school isn’t giving these children the educational help that they need; in closing don’t send your child here find somewhere else cause this place isn’t worth your time or energy they will upset you and make you take your child to another school who will treat your child like an actual human being who has feelings and know exactly how to handle your child
