Northwest Chapel Preschool & K

My son just finished a fabulous kindergarten year at Northwest Chapel and I cannot say enough good things about the staff and facility! His teacher, Mrs. Pyles is a lovely and outstanding educator. The director and assistant director, Kelly and Michelle, are the perfect blend of warm and caring without being pushovers. The cost is very reasonable as well.

I have mixed reactions about the program. I have had two of my kids in the program. One was a positive experience and the other was stressful on my wife and child. It feels as if your child is completely obdeint and structured then they will be fine but if they have an outgoing personality then I would caution enrolling them into the school. There seems to be a lack of positive reinforcement within the daily reports. Many of the reports included “didn’t obey” and “punished” but never mentioned how positive reinforcements is used. From what I can tell the director and staff had one perspective in dealing with children. The green, yellow, red system of discipline felt vague and confusing to us and our child. The focus became on the color and not the learning. I would ask specifics about the program’s “discipline” structure and assess your child’s fit in this type of program before enrolling.

My daughter has attended Northwest Chapel for Preschool and now Pre-K. We have had an absolutely wonderful experience with the school. The director, teachers and staff are always nurturing, welcoming and truly care about my child and her education. The school offers a variety of programs and activities designed to keep the children engaged and to further their education through new experiences and fun. I feel like my daughter has received an excellent foundation for her future education and relationship with her peers, family and the church. I would highly recommend Northwest Chapel to any parent!
