Service Master Co

I used service master after being referred by my insurance company when our basement flooded in May 2020. It took them 3 months to even come out . Once they showed up, we got an estimate for the removal of all damaged materials and items to be removed and disposed of , a remediation and clean up, as well as the pack out of items to a storage pod that would be delivered to my home to store items until renovations were completed. All to the tune of over 6000$ . Well let me just say, I was not impressed. They cut out 2 ft of drywall in my entire finished basement, removed a carpet and padding in one room, packed all of 6 totes out to the pod and left after a week and a half of running a basement full of dehumidifiers. I was left with piles of stuff sitting in the middles of every room, and damaged , water infiltrated sound booth walls that were growing mold inside in the basement. I was told they would pack out the basement and remove damaged items. This dis not happen! So I contacted them and they claimed they were trying to establish a plan to remove the panels and would call me to schedule removal date. 4 months went by and nothing. I contacted my insurance agent who then contacted service master and they got 2 dates that never resulted in removal. Its now end of January 2021, and the panels are still here, and now service master is claiming that they will give a new estimate for cost of removal and that its going to be expensive. So now they already made 6000+$ for the first estimate which was to include removal that never happened, pack out that never happened, and now they want more money! Not to mention the remediation of which also never happened! I haven't been able to get work done in the basement and I am at odds with fighting this company to do the job they have already been paid to do! Absurd! I would never recommend this company to anyone for any reason!
