Carriage Hill Apartments

As a military service member , a PCS move always has its challenges, but working with the staff at this facility has gone beyond a challenge. The signing up process was smooth, so I have no complaints there, but the customer service and their inability to be compassionate has led me to write this review . I was stationed in Florida and prepared to move to Ohio but I received an order change last minute . They weren’t familiar with military clauses ( not their fault) so initially I was going to be charged for the termination of my lease. After that was situated , I received additional billing for the removal of services although the company I had utilities with had insisted that someone from their property offered to place it back in their name. Also I was told to keep the renters insurance until a certain date and I was billed an additional $75 dollars for that too. Mind you , I have never stepped foot in the apartment , paid my rent in full , on or before time , and never gave them any real issues . This situation alone has been discouraging and stressful. I would go as far as to say that this is not a military friendly facility , but this is just my experience . My prayer is that as they continue to conduct business that they will do so with a kind heart . Also as a tenant , I would Recommend that you have everything aligned and in order to diffuse any situation.

My daughter applied to live here. They charged $60 application fee and $175 administrative fee. They told her she didn't make enough, that she needed a guarantor to make up difference and charged extra $60 app fee for that person. Then next day denied both for credit problem. Meaning they knew up front they were denying her, but waited. They also don't refund the $175 even though every other place does if applicant is denied. All this place does is make money off people they don't plan on renting too. There's plenty of other places that won't take advantage of people and overcharge.

I’ve lived at Carriage Hill for a little over a year now, and have enjoyed my time here immensely. First, the location is in such a perfect spot. It’s near a very quiet neighborhood, but also not too far from downtown Hamilton. It’s also located right across from the Great Miami river, making it convenient to go for early morning runs. Aside from the geographical benefit, the staff here has also been great in my experience. They’re very professional and genuine. Not only have they been very engaged with tenants (you’ll see them walking all over the complex from time-to-time), but they have gone above and beyond to enhance the quality of life. For example, they’ve put on several community events for the complex (movie nights, door decorating contests w/rent incentives for winners, etc.). I’ve noticed a lot of the reviews giving the units poor reviews, however these are older buildings. I’ve personally enjoyed it because it’s an affordable apartment complex, the staff is among the best I’ve worked with, and the location is great.

The view is beautiful even when u have power outage and is very peaceful.

Wonderful renovated apartments located minutes away from down town, shopping malls, interstate, and Kings Island. Also its tucked away in a quiet neighborhood directly across the street from the beautiful Little Miami River. I love it!
