Police Department - City of Fairfield

Fairfield police in my opinion are among the best that you will ever find. They watch my house for me when I am away on vacation, actually get out of their cars and walk around and check all the windows and doors. I believe the Fairfield Police serve our city the best they possibly can. I would however like to see more enforcement of speed limits on Winton Rd.

They arrest their way out of any and all problems, that is their motto. No problem too large, or too small can't be solved by an arrest! As a side note anybody that gets pulled over for a traffic violation or so bored they will have at least three squad car show up.

My Son who is 20 was pulled over early this morning due to him not putting on his signal to change lanes. Ok I get that, but why would 2 extra police cruisers need to show up? Then the Cop told him that he smelled weed and my Son had none on him and they even searched his car and found nothing. They gave him a breathalyzer test even after my Son told the cop he wasn't drunk and it came back with all 000. My Son then said that the Cop told him that he didn't have a reason to arrest him today as if he wanted to have a reason to arrest him. I'm so upset that all this happened to him and I know that he was terrified by not only being a young Black Man being pulled over, but to also have 2 other cruisers show up like he did something terribly wrong.
