front desk wasn’t wearing a mask and gave me outrageous quote for my grandmothers quilt...only put the mask on when i came in! no safety here

Lady in the front desk was rude..wasn't wearing a mask either. Tried to be local with my dry cleaning but will look elsewhere.

Two neighbors warned me not to patronize this business and I wish I'd listened.nnBack in October, I brought in a piece of upholstery to be cleaned. The manager, Shane, took it with no caveats and it was returned to me a week later completely ruined (shrunken and colors bleeding). Mistakes happen, and I didn't get upset because I expected the business to stand behind its work and pay to replace the item. I was incredibly misguided.nnLong story short, 3 1/2 months has passed since Go Green destroyed my item and the business owner, Igor, still has not compensated me. Although the original cost was well over $2,000; I was able to find someone to create a cheaper version for just $560. They won't even pay for this much -- nearly 1/4 of the original cost. I've never encountered foot dragging and non-responsiveness like this before. The business has no integrity whatsoever. Phone calls and messages go unreturned and unacknowledged. I have no choice now but to take the matter up in court.nnDo yourself a favor and ask your neighbors where they take their dry cleaning, and go anywhere but Go Green. Because if they ruin something valuable, when you ask them for compensation they'll run like cockroaches when you turn the light on.nnUpdate: after seeing my review here, Igor called to say he would send me a check if I would take down my review. I told him to keep the check if it came with that condition and, to his credit, he delivered the check anyway. He clearly thinks he is entitled to a favor for providing fractional compensation after 3 1/2 months. This is a company that is not capable of seeing the world through the eyes of its customers and, ultimately, that will have a predictable result.

Please save your time and money and go elsewhere. The prices are unreasonable and the customer service is poor. I took three jackets here to have the sleeves shortened and to be pressed. The total was over $185.00. We do alterations several times a year for ourselves and my elderly in-laws, who always need sleeves and hems taken up to avoid tripping and catching their clothes on things. We have patronized several businesses in Mamaroneck, New Rochelle, Pelham, and midtown Manhattan depending on what's most convenient. $45 is an average price anywhere for a jacket with a lining. The jackets I brought were simple cotton jackets, no lining, no stretch, single stitch across - essentially cutting the sleeve to length and running it straight through the machine. Solo Clean up the street did the same alteration on the same jacket in a different color a few months ago for $30. If Go Green had charged $35 I wouldn't be writing this review. We're OK paying a little more here and there if it saves us time that week. This was not a request for rush services either. I called them within three hours to stop the job so we could bring them somewhere else. They claimed the jackets were done and already in Pelham for pressing. I found that difficult to believe. When I asked for the manager, I was told he would not be in until tomorrow and they would not give me his name. I just checked the Better Business Bureau to submit a complaint. I'm not surprised that Go Green in Mamaroneck is not registered and currently has a C rating for failing to respond to other customer issues - lost and damaged clothing that was not reimbursed. I would certainly prefer to patronize local businesses as often as possible, especially since so many of them in Mamaroneck have closed over the years. However, if they're not willing adjust to market prices or provide customer service for our hard-earned money, I don't see any reason to do so.

Great dry cleaner! They went above and beyond to fix a problem. Great customer service. Friendly owner.
