This is a self-guided tour of this historic site. Unlike the nearby Rose Hill Mansion which includes a tour guide. Built in 1822 by John Johnston, he was instrumental in improving local farming techniques by incorporating drain tiles to remove excess water from the fields. The house is well preserved and full of contemporary era furniture. Loaded with information on the Johnston's and period history. The site also includes the Mike Weaver Drain Tile Museum, which includes a most thorough collection of various drain tiles dating throughout the ages. The house overlooks Seneca Lake, is adjacent to the Bottomless Brewing and is near the Ventosa Vineyards. Worth a visit.

Located on Seneca Lake, next to Bottomless Brewing, they share parking lots.nnThis is part of the Geneva Historical Society, and the Mike Weaver Drain Tile Museum is located inside the Johnston House.
