They need to do more and recruit potential officers within their community

I would like to thank officer Evelyn for going above and beyond the call of duty to check on an elderly member of the community, his action and dedication to protect and serve is to be celebrated....hats off to the men and women in blue of spring valley, it is good to know that we can count on their prompt and diligent response in time of needs.

They are excessively corrupt, very expensive to maintain relative to what they actually do or have to offer as a police force, lazy and incompetent when it comes to responding to calls and keeping the place safe, and very very rude.nnI called and I was transferred over to someone who was on their lunch break. And that Haitian officer kept on screaming at me when in fact he should be telling his coworkers that he should not take calls.nnThey are better off dismantled and absorbed by Ramapo Police at this point: they’re at least a little better.

The Spring Valley PD makes a bad name for cops everywhere! Harassing taxi drivers and inconveniencing the riders. I was in a taxi and the police stopped the driver for not having a license to pick up at a certain place, was terribly rude to the driver!

They are exremely rude and very offensive. First of all, my entire life, over 40 years i have respected cops and always be thankful to them to keep me and my family safe. However, one day someone called police and said i offensed her. I was calm and tried to speak with them but they just took the handcuff out and smashed me on the police car and handcuffed me without even evidence and after just hearing a story from a woman. How is this happening? i wasnt rude for them and i did literally nothing. After they reviewed cameras from the store, they found out they can't arrest me. Of course because i did nothing! They didn;t even said sorry to me nor try to explain what was happening while they rudely threw me in the police car. after this i do not respect them. they are not worth my taxes to feed these jerks.
