It is rare to find small town museums that holds my interest AND that of my children. The Bluegrass Heritage Museum has friendly docents who are happy to answer the million questions my kids have.nnWhile there are few hands-on exhibits, the ones they have are enormous fun. We could have spent an hour in the telephone room.nnThe gift shop is reasonably priced and has relevant items, both informational and fun.nnWe visited the museum a lot in the five years we lived in Winchester. It was always a favorite, and we learned something new every time we went.
