Newburgh Police Department

Even though the City Of Newburgh Council has just laid off 19 officers, they are doing their utmost best to keep the city safe. I am proud of this department and the men and women who work there!

For the first time in my life I experienced walking into a police station for help and being treated horribly. Never before. I felt completely disgusted with the lack of help and enthusiasm I recieved from the officers I exchanged conversations with. An experience I will never forget. It changed my mind about feeling safe for living in close proximity to the police station.

I've been sitting in the Newburgh police station for 1 hour to make a police report with noone in front of me but a long line behind me. I can clearly see 3 officer's laughing and chatting through the window. Newburgh finest!

I went to the Newburgh Police Department a few years ago after my cyberstalker blackmailed me and I was extremely frightened and dubious as to whether they were going to take my situation seriously at all. They not only took it seriously but they opened up a case for me. Thank you, Newburgh Police Department, for being compassionate and kind to me during such a horrible, scary ordeal. I am forever grateful to you.

How can y’all take so long for a murder scene but so quick to arrest ppl. Why does it take y’all so long to save a life. Why is not one camera on the crazy streets of Newburgh working? Y’all say y’all care and we try to work with you but how can u work with a bunch of ppl who really don’t care. Two lives was taken and y’all just took y’all sweet little time to get to them. Y’all have to do better y’all are supposed to protect is not kill us or watch us be killed. We are scare of some of and we should not be afraid we should feel safe. Get it together what if the tables was turned. Think about it. Get more trusted officers out in the field and get every camera fixed. You got home tonur families every night. While some families are making funeral arrangements or to find bail money. GET IT TOGETHER
