Mr. Sen comes off as professional and a straight shooter until there’s a problem with a property. I signed a lease and three hours later discovered big problems with the apartment. The furnace didn’t work, the dehumidifier in the swampy basement didn’t function properly so he put a small fan in to replace it which obviously didn’t solve the moisture/stench issue. Mr. Sen was using the basement of the property as an old appliance graveyard despite telling me that I was the only person with basement access. The yard was full of years worth of garbage and debris and never removed despite me asking many times prior to signing the lease. He assured me it would be removed. The finishing work in the unit was cheap and dumpy. Doors were hung upside down and backwards! There weren’t deadbolts on any entrance doors and refused to discuss installing them. He wanted almost $1,000 per month and acted like I was crazy to expect a decent home. The upstairs tenants were selling drugs out their unit and I know it bc of the meth head traffic I witnessed. I brought these issues to his attention promptly via calls and text message but never a response. Two days after getting the keys and having not moved in or slept there I told him that this arrangement wasn’t going to work. Finally, I got a response and we discussed returning my deposit bc I didn’t move in let alone damage his dumpster property. He agreed to return $1000 then never returned the money. Make sure to do a very in-depth walk through before you give him a dime. He seems like just another slime ball landlord who’s happy to take your money but won’t hold up his end of the deal. I guess that makes Alex Sen a scumbag. It cost me $2000 to find out that he’s white trash disguised in a polo shirt.

I have known Alex through the local area & real estate community for years. In my dealings with him I have always found him to be more than competent and host to a wealth of knowledge in every aspect of real estate.
