Awesome school for people with physical disabilities, great staff, couldn't ask for a better school experience as a person who has CP!!(Cerebral Palsy) I also, graduated 2 years ago with a regents diploma and went on to college!!

Evaluation service here is horrible. They're completely inconsistent and out of place with some of their rules/policies (especially with the cell phones), I have to wait for almost an hour for some of these tests which are too easy, and all of these damn tests really overstay their welcome, cause they just don't stop coming and I'm bored and sick of them. Bottom line, don't waste your time with the evaluations. They're inconsistent, almost too easy, and all these damn tests will bore you quickly.

It's not that bad but I think they should only accept people with a medical problem of being able to walk but not straight. Why do I think it's only a good school if you could get up and go, because everything is done on a basis because we are considered a school for people with disabilities and we have to provide and they do have a program to stay until 21 and on a paper you have to not pass regents or a class. They take 18 year olds into a pool that is usually meant for 11 year olds. And they call that having fun. I didn't stay in the program because on the paper I passed all the tests and everything on time. I don't know all the details on how it works. I graduated 12th grade. I think I have a pretty good idea of the program and of the school in general. Most times they always tell you people with disabilities are not that different. When you are in 9th grade, for example, the teacher doesn't even know what are the qualifications to stay in the program. They say you have to talk to administration. My belief is this: if you want to call yourself a good school for people that cannot get up and go, then you have to go back to square 1. You have to write something to make the student allowed to stay at the school without writing on a paper that the student did not pass the test. And also, don't tell the students that people with disabilities are not that different. Why is it a good school for people that can get up and go? Because they do offer SAT, prep tests, they also have an alternative to the ACC. Those tests are administered right in the school. And that's what they believe in. My personal opinion is they only have a program for people that on the paper don't pass a regents. When I was in elementary school they didn't have that type of program because they only have this type of program because not everybody believes in going to college. But I did enjoy Viscardi very much. My opinion if you cannot get out and go then the school is not for you.
