My experience is mixed. When I needed a special sized board, they were good about cutting a piece of their stock to fit my need. However, while they do offer some general millwork services, note that it is only for wood that they are selling. I had a broken board I needed fixed and they were no help at all. I'd suggest calling ahead and talking with them over the phone to see if they will help you. I felt brushed aside.
I was looking to replace my fireplace mantel and needed specific dimensions. The big box stores had some but not the size I wanted. I called around many places and Pittsford Lumber was mentioned as possibly having what I was looking for. I called them and they stated they had much to choose from.nnThe had 72” x 3” x 12” in many types of woods. Some thinner, some thinker. A great selection of wood. If your looking for quality wood at a reasonable price, it’s worth the drive even if your not local like me. Staff was very friendly, wear a mask as COVID-19 continues and they require a mask too.nnExcellent first experience. I will be back. Many quality piece of wood
Extremely rude man & woman working there. Very condescending and woman especially is unwilling to help, actually deterring the man from engaging with us as we browsed and asked a few questions. Terrible customer service. Not sure how they are business with their attitudes. Definitely do not recommend.
An absolute gem for all types of wood. They got short cuts, live slabs, you name it; purple heart, zebra, walnut, leopard, burl, all types, anything you can imagine. Great store and good covid practices.
I love this place! The owner is so knowledgeable and helpful. All of my projects start with a visit here.
