La Scala Salon

Went here for a hair styling since I am new to Pittsford. The lady, who I believe was the owner, was not only NOT wearing a mask but when she took my card she literally COUGHED right into her arm/hand holding my card!! And handed it back to me like it was nothing. I was in complete shock since we ARE IN THE MIDDLE OF A GLOBAL PANDEMIC WITH CORONA! the service itself was mediocre for the prices she charges people. I am just completely disgusted with this lady's actions. With how hard salons have to stay open and this place does not take health codes seriously at all. I will be reporting them. She also had a rude attitude and seemed like she was rushing to get me out of there the whole appointment. Do not support businesses like this when there are so many other small business salons that need and deserve your money.

Not a fan. Have been looking for somewhere to get my hair done. I have been very cautious about covid. It was kind of a plus that there was a test site that opened down stairs. Availability of testing right in town is such a plus, going to any business these days is such a risk. I believe this business had a hand in the abrupt closing of that test site. I was probably not the only one whose appointment for Christmas Eve was canceled at the last minute. My family was exposed on Christmas and I was not able to find someplace to get tested after this exposure. It caused me a lot of anxiety and I feel it is very irresponsible to purposefully want to shut down a test site during this emergency, during the holiday season during the worst surge since this all began. I would not try this business anymore. I found a nice salon on Webster.

I specifically said what kind of haircut I wanted and even brought a photo for reference. This lady totally butchered my hair, now I have to wear a hat until it grows back enough to get it fixed somewhere else. Not to mention she was very rude to me and charged high end prices for a subpar cut. Terrible experience overall and I will definitely not be returning.

Rude, selfish, inconsiderate; are only just a few of the words that I can think of off the top of my head to describe the owner. There used to be rapid Covid-19 test site below her salon and she complained to the town about because it was apparently hurting her business, which I'm sure is a reflection of her negative attitude, not the test site, and they were forced to move. I had appointments for Christmas eve and new years eve and the test site got shut down both of those days because of her insensitive and self-centered actions. And I'm not the only one- so many people had their appointments canceled right before the holidays just so she could continue giving subpar haircuts. So many people probably weren't able to spend the holidays with their families because of la scala salon. May God have mercy on her wicked, evil soul.

Lindsey is the absolute best!! Wouldn't go anywhere else!
