Alright, everything may seem good at Colonial Manor until the winter time and your car is hit by one of the communities snow plow that’s driven by one of the maintenance guys. That’s what happened to us as soon as we moved in back in January but there weren’t any witnesses, just plow tracks leading up to our damaged car and a dented number of the communities truck used for plowing. The community manager Danielle accused us staging the car in the parking lot. The police office that came out for the report said that the plow truck definitely hit it, they just didn’t admit to it and there wasn’t any paint transfer on either vehicle so we had to pay for the damages. On top of that, our ac froze over at the beginning of the summer when it started getting hot which the “fixed” but ended up coming back another two times within 2 weeks because it wasn’t. I tried telling them multiple times it needed more refrigerant but they didn’t believe me and they finally put more in and it started working. About a week ago our ac froze over again so we put in a maintenance request and they didn’t show up the day they were supposed to so I called again to set up a specific time the next day and they needed up showing up 2 hours late just to tell me they’re gonna have someone else come out another day to look at it because he’s not certified to work with acs. Now the ac guy said there’s a leak and they’re gonna need to replace it because the unit is from the 70s or 80s. Just got a call from Danielle(property manager) saying they’re not going to replace for over another month but they can offer one window unit. Our electric bill has been through the roof because of the old unit leaking and us not knowing. And when we don’t have ac and it’s 82 outside, it’s usually about 85 inside which is very harsh on our dog. I definitely would NOT RECOMMEND renting at colonial manor or from any properties managed by Washington street properties.

Peaceful neighborhood with responsive staff. The few problems we've had weren't their fault (for example, dishwasher broke down) and they were very quick to address them. There's coin-operated laundry on-site, but no change machine, so that is inconvenient sometimes. Reading the other reviews here, I don't agree or things have changed since those people left. The rent may be a little overpriced, though, for being so far out of town.

The buildings are old so be prepared for it to be extremely old fashion. But the landlord and all of the workers are absolutely amazing and made the place feel more like home. Every concern is met with a quick answer. If something breaks it gets fixed. I even got back 100% of the deposit when i moved out. I wish I wouldn't have moved out but we needed a 3 bedroom.

This apartment management is aweful.nI’ve had multiple issues with the laundry room where other people living in my building throw my clothes on the floor, and mixed my clothes in with someone else’s. I’m not one of those people who leaves my clothes in for hours, ive called and made several complaints, they have yet to put cameras in as promised and the most they can do is just “write a notice.” It’s absurd. My 4 month olds clothes all got ruined because someone took them out of the dryer and mixed them in with some strangers clothes that were covered in oil and grease so they could dry their clothes next. Who’s replacing my daughters clothes????nnAlso, there is an issue with some people’s dogs being loud and possibly abused. The cops have been called 3 times, the apartment building manager has been alerted, the problem is still continuing and has been for months.nnIn all honesty, apart from the personal experiences, these apartments are NOT worth what they charge.
