Top Cottage

A notable historic site, owned by President Franklin Delano Roosevelt and visited by Winston Churchill and the British Royal Family. Our NPS Ranger (Mike A.) was exceptional in his knowledge and friendliness as he gave us a colorful tour of the site.

Amazingly well informed staff. It was an insiteful history lesson.

Interesting place of history. Franklin Roosvelt and Winston Churchill sat on the front porch discussing heavy water. The King and Queen of England visited here. An opportunity to walk in the places where important discussions we had and where the human side of world leaders discussed war and ultimately peace.

Seeing Top Cottage adds an important dimension to understanding FDR. It's very worthwhile to visit.

nice little hike, the cottage was closed so we couldn't go inside. :( . when you start looking into who Eleanor really was. you'll fine what a truly remarkable person she really was. the kind of person i wish i could of hung out with for a day. THERE IS SO MUCH TO SEE AROUND HERE. SO DO YOUR HOMEWORK AND CHECKOUT THE SURROUNDING AREA'S. IF YOU ONLY WANT TO SEE THIS SITE AND THE 5 BUILDINGS THEY OFFER BUY THE AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL PASS. IT WILL GET YOU IN ALL NATIONAL FOREST AND SITES IN ALL STATES FOR FREE. IT PAYED FOR ITSELF AND SAVED US MONEY AFTER MY WIFE, SON AND I VISIT THIS SITE. ITS $80 FOR THE YEAR AND IT GET IN 3 ADULT, ONE CHILD TO ANY NATIONAL SITE. IF YOUR 62 OR OLDER ITS A LIFE TIME PASS.
