My furnace needs a new part that has been tough to find calling everyone in my area lead me to this place. Being the only place that carries that part I’ve called this place over and over with no answer! You think in the cold winter months they would answer phone calls to help someone fix their furnace

My experience was really bad with these people. I bought a Miller reset/control unit recently from Compton's. I took it home to replace the one one the furnace at my gf kids trailer. When I got there I realized that it was wrong one so The next day I called and explained what happened to the gentleman that answered the phone. I was told no returns without a receipt which is posted on the door. It took me a little while to find the receipt. When I did I made several trips there each time being told I have no cash or checks to give you your money back now they refuse to honor their return policy of no returns without reciept. They screwed me around for almost a month telling me the owner never left a check to pay me for the return. Then yesterday I get again same thing but told to call before coming down today to make sure the check was there so I called around noon got the owner who said they don't take back anything electrical said that is there policy but I read the policy posted and it didn't say that but I guess he'll change it now that I have challenged it. What the owner doesn't realize is I've been there before I've seen them give refunds on electrical items to other people without a receipt but that's cause they do business there more than me. They only refund money to who they want. So in short, if you buy an electrical items from them and take it home and it doesn't work or it's the wrong one your screwed according to Compton's owner they will not refund your money for any reason. That is not right. To me that's stealing and frauding people out of their hard earned money. I have a right to get my money back. The part was never put in still brand new from factory. I highly caution anyone who does business with them to not purchase anything electrical from them as you will not get your money back if it's defective or wrong part.
