Petcosky was a honest reliable provider. Auchinachie Is not. They lied and said R22 is illegal so I would need to buy a new A/C system. Although R22 can no longer be manufactured or imported, existing stockpiles or recycled R22 can be used to service existing equipment. They then had someone quote me a cost for a new heating and A/C system that was 50 percent higher than market prices. They are a racket. Stay away from them.

We enjoyed 40 years of fine service from Petcosky, but recently they wrote us that they were ending their residential service and turning over their customer records to Auchinachie Plumbers. Unfortunately we had a bad experience with Auchinachie (look up our review ) and found that any skills they have are undermined by their exorbitant prices. Our experience with them has been confirmed by others , unfortunately only after they gouged us on the cost of putting a lamp near our AC to eliminate the growth of mold. Do not use Auchinachie until you have gotten other estimates.

Petcosky & Sons provided my family with excellent service for many decades. But now they sold the residental part of their company to Auchinachie Services. Auchinachie charges far far more than other reputable plumbing companies for the same work. They claim that they are using 'their own' products despite their not being a manufacturing company, and they refuse to tell customers the real source of the equipment that they install ... a lot of flim-flam. Beware accepting Auchinachie/Petcosky estimates without getting competing estimates.

Petcosky provided my family with fine service at a fair price for decades.nRecently, Petcosky sold their residential service to Auchinachie, who I asked to be an annual maintenance on my air conditioner. Their service man told me that I had a bad case of mold in the unit and recommended he install an ultraviolet unit for $1652. which I unwisely agreed to. The small unit took about an hour to install. When I asked the name of the manufacturer and model number, I was told that it was made to Auchinachie. But Auchinachie is a heat & plumbing company, not a manufacturer. Matching pictures via internet, I finally found the unit listed with the name of the manufacturer. I then called several reputable local plumbers and got quotations of around $425. for the unit including installation. Auchinachie charged me almost 400% that price. If you are thinking of having Petcosky/Auchinachie do work for you, do get estimates from other companies.

They r quick to resolve your issue. The repairmen are always nice, considerate and efficient.
