I was a Charter member of the Keyport Historical Society and a member of the Board during the Bicentennial Celebration and planning for the original museum which was destroyed during Superstorm Sandy.nI visited the new museum for the first time today and was so happy to see the progress being made to rebuild and display some first rate historical collections, focusing on people and the work they did during important periods of Keyport's history.nI met an old friend, made some new ones and shared some good memories. It felt like home. It's a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

The Keyport Historical Society at 34 Main St has become the new home to honor the history of our town. After 5 long years of recovery from Super Storm Sandy, we came back stronger than ever to showcase the vibrant history enveloped in our town. We are all proud to welcome new people and officially have a place to call our home once again!
