Please stay away from this police department. They are extremely corrupt. You cannot trust them your safety. It is for your own sake. DO NOT CALL POLICE IF THIS POLICE DEPARTMENT SERVES YOUR AREA. Think of mafia but this mafia is legal and has government power. I called 911 because a super in my building threaten to hit me and were hostile towards me. I threw a paint towards his direction (not at him) while two other guys were holding him (because he was coming on to me). My neighbor had a camera and recorded the incident (which is, by the way, a violation of my privacy as it was in our backyard). Police looked at the video, completely ignore super's hostility and his attempt to hit me, threatened to arrest me for an assault (what assault???), called me crazy, said that the super who threatened me will not press charges against me (??????),. and left. I asked police to show me the tape and they refused. Well, my landlord is a rich powerful Italian man. So basically, this police department either serves Italian mafia or knows personally my landlord, because they falsified the evidence to help my landlord. They lied to me. They told my neighbor not to show or give the tape to me. They basically prevented me from having the evidence that support my claim that I was harassed by my super. Be aware, it is not safe in this part of the island, especially if you a woman. And please do not call this department for your own sake.
