It looks lovely from the outside. But I couldn't go in because it was closed. I went back the next day and arrived earlier but it was still closed. I didn't see any hours posted. Maybe its only open on weekends.
The walk north along the previous Erie RR is flat....good for biking, running and walking. It's usually very peaceful and shaded, with gorgeous views if the Hudson River. The station itself is quaint, but not operational.
great trail
Very interesting railroad museum housed in the actual train station. Very nicely restored.
Huge parking lot. But may be a distance from train station if walking is an issue. Machine to pay for parking is at the stairs leading to the tracks. Buy your train tickets online or at the machine on the platform before getting on the train. Its cheaper. Set up your online account before your trip.
